Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd (BMTJV) is working to modernise its operations at the Renison Tin Mine to improve safety and lower risk. Part of this commitment is the upgrade to the switchyard that supplies power across the entire site, including to our underground operations.

The last of the high voltage transformers will be switched over to the new system this month following an 18-month upgrade, providing a more robust, reliable and safe power supply. A continuing program of critical infrastructure renewal will be implemented as the mine develops, including dewatering, communications, data, ventilation and power.
