Technical Manager

Justin Resta

Justin Resta is a minerals processing/metallurgy specialist with over 27 years’ experience gained across a broad range of production, commissioning, research, development, commercial laboratory, engineering, and management roles. Justin joined BMTJV in 2018 and his role is to develop and deliver on future development and growth opportunities to optimise the value of the Renison Mine.

Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary

Kyle Wade

Kyle Wade is a Certified Practising Accountant with over 20 years of experience. Kyle joined BMTJV in March 2010 as the Mine Accountant and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2021. His role sees him accountable for the financial management, commercial activities and contracts, information technology and internal Board and Joint Venture Committee reporting.

Manager of Resource Development & Planning

Colin Carter

Colin Carter is a Geologist with 20 years of operational geology and management experience. Colin joined BMTJV in November, 2008 as a Senior Mine Geologist and was promoted in 2021 to Manager Resource Development and Planning. Colin manages the framework and processes for long term mine planning activities, developing and delivering the annual Life of Mine Plan, reserves and budget.

Manager of Projects & Business Improvement

Carl von Savageri

Carl von Savageri is a Mining Engineer with 22 years of experience in the mining, construction and energy industries. Carl joined BMTJV in November 2021 as Manager of Projects and Business Improvement and his role sees him accountable for managing capital investments in the Renison operation, identifying opportunities and implementing systems to improve ways of working.

Manager of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Matt Finney

Matt Finney is a HSE Manager with 19 years of mining experience.  Matt joined BMTJV in July 2018 as Site Safety Coordinator and was promoted to HSE Manager in 2019. His role sees him accountable for the standards for safety, health, and environmental management to ensure compliance and leading safety & cultural improvement initiatives across the site.

Manager of Processing

William Oats

William Oats is a Minerals Processing Engineer with 14 years of operational, projects and management experience. Bill joined BMTJV in August 2021 and his roles sees him accountable for the processing plant, laboratory work, tailings dam and surface water management.

Manager of Maintenance

Jon Crossing

Jon Crossing is a maintenance professional with 30 years of Defence and Mining experience. Jon joined BMTJV in June 2020 as a consultant and was promoted to Manager Maintenance in April 2022. Jon’s responsibility is to manage the planning and execution of all maintenance activities to safely deliver the annual production requirements in line with plan and the budget.

Manager of Mining

Shane Johnson

Shane Johnson is an underground mining professional with 36 years of experience in both coal and hard rock. Shane joined BMTJV in September 2023 and his role sees him accountable for the safe operation of underground mining activities at BMTJV. Shane is an avid supporter for the growth of Bluestone employees, diversity within the workforce and the safe delivery of our mining plan.
