The Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Incident Management Team has been regularly assessing the bushfire situation on the West Coast.
Following a welcome easing of conditions and after close consultation with emergency services, we have been given clearance to commence a staged resumption of operations.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our staff and contractors during this challenging period for the operation and the broader West Coast community.
The safety and welfare of our people continues to be our number one priority. With fires still actively burning, we will continue to monitor the situation and respond to changing conditions as required.
We would again like to thank the emergency services for their open communication which has greatly assisted the IMT in its decision-making process.
