We love new shiny things at the Renison Mine! Last Month our new @Caterpillar R2900GG loader was delivered to site, one of our nine underground equipment investments for Bluestone in 2023/24.
Our loaders help us to transport run-of-mine (ROM) ore from our stopes and development drives via our underground trucks to our hoisting system. The loaders also remove waste rock from the many tunnels into our open voids allowing us to continue extracting the valuable tin resource. This vehicle was chosen for its strength and durability to work in our tough West Coast conditions.
The purchasing of equipment is part of our large capital investment program, a sign of confidence and commitment to a long ongoing future of the Renison Mine.
Just like kids in a candy store, our team were very excited to operate the new machine!
