Employees from the Renison Mine recently teamed up with Triffett Contracting to clear weeds from the Zeehan Rivulet or as you might know it, Pea Soup Creek!
Gorse and other noxious weeds were choking the rivulet on both sides and West Coast Council Mayor Shane Pitt approached BMTJV for help. Uncontrolled weeds are an eyesore for members of the community, as well as a major environmental issue.
The area is now weed free for the first time in years!
BMTJV have set aside a budget to assist with more weed control projects in the local community, in partnership and under guidance of land managers.
